Smith Garden is a privately owned farmhouse on the leafy edge of Auroville, just a short drive from Pondicherry's French quarter and the Bay of Bengal. Built in the warm, hand-crafted spirit of a Kerala home, the property is a quiet escape where birdsong replaces traffic and the air carries the scent of jasmine and frangipani.

Whether you choose the three-bedroom main house or one of our intimate hut cottages, every stay opens onto the garden — the heart of the property. Mornings begin with a fresh, home-cooked Kerala breakfast. Days unfold at your own pace: a book on the veranda, a bicycle ride to the beach, or simply nothing at all.
